UPM Collaborates with the Central University of Finance and Economics to Enhance International Cooperation.

 

China, 25 April 2024 - Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through the School of Business and Economics (SPE) is pleased to visit and hold discussions with the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) to develop strategic cooperation.

Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) is a public finance and economics university located in Beijing, China. CUFE is among the top 10 universities in China with Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation.

The UPM delegation was represented by Prof. Dr. Ismi Arif Ismail (Deputy Vice Chancellor), Prof. Dr. Bany Ariffin Amin Noordin (Dean of SPE) and Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Anuar Shah Bali Mahomed (Deputy Dean of Graduate) together with Prof. Dr. Li Zheng (Vice President), Prof. Dr. Song Liyan (Party Committee Secretary), Prof. Dr. Guo Feng (Deputy Director, International Cooperation Division), Prof. Dr. Chen Qiwen (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee), Prof. Dr. Zhang Congshan (Vice Dean, School of Sports Economics and Studies) and Dr. Gu Guoxing (Accompanier) was involved in the discussion.

Among the proposed collaborations include the offering of Bachelor and Graduate Programs in a Joint Degree, staff and student exchanges as well as international visits between the two universities, and the organization of joint international conferences and seminars either face-to-face or online. This marks an important step in strengthening academic ties and expanding educational and economic opportunities internationally.

The collaboration is expected to increase the reputation and impact of both institutions in the international arena as well as open up new opportunities for the development of knowledge and sustainability of cooperation in the future.
