Alias Radam started working with the Faculty of Economics and Management in 1990.
He obtained his MBA from the Universiti Pertanian Malaysia. He has taught courses
on Operation Research and Mathematical Economics. Currently he is the coordinator
of Bachelor Economics for Executive at the faculty and Technical Advisor to Federal
Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA). He was the Secretary of the Malaysian Agricultural
Economics Association for 1998/9 and 2001/2 and Chief Editor of the Malaysia Journal of Agricultural
Economics for 2003/4 session. He is also a member of the Malaysian Association of
Resource and Environment Economics (MAREE) since 2000,
His research topics and consultancies include productivity analysis,
production economic in agricultural and manufacturing sectors and consumption analysis.
Some of the research projects and consultancies have been funded by various agencies including NPC,
Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of DomesticTrade and Consumer Affairs, Johor Tenggara, MIER,
TFNet and IRPA. Some of consultantcies report are:

He has received awards and recognition from international and local institutions. The awards received are:
- Excellent Service award from UPM. 1996 and 200. .
- Sliver Medal from Research Management Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia for research titled "Willingness of Local Tourists to Pay for Convervation Sports in the Damai Sistrict Sarawak ", 10 July, 2003.
- Bronze Medal from Research Management Centre, Universiti Putra Malaysia for research titled "Comparative Advantage of Food Industry in Malaysia," 30 August, 2002
